Mr. Jagjit Singh Kohli is one of the pioneer’s of the Cable Television and Broadcasting industry in India with several path breaking achievements to his credit. He was among the first to start Cable Television services in the country and been credited with laying the foundation of the cable television industry in the country for the pioneering efforts made by his first venture- Cable Master. Today he is acknowledged as one of the most experienced and respected man in this industry.

In an illustrious career spanning close to three decades, he has set-up and headed major Multi Service Operators (MSO), including InCable, WinCable (now renamed Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd.) and Wire and Wireless (India) Ltd.

In June 2007, he launched the new entrant in the MSO arena, Digicable Network (India) Pvt. Ltd.; the newest star on the horizon.

Apart from these, he also launched the ETC Music & ETC Punjabi satellite channels, which were subsequently acquired by the Zee Group. He has also launched India Talkies, a premium national Hindi movie channel.

Mr. Kohli is an engineering graduate from the Mumbai University and his passion is to continuously drive innovation in the field of cable television, digital entertainment and media convergence.

 

Mr. Yogesh Shah has over 25 years of experience in Cable TV industry. He was among the first to start the concept of MATV and CATV systems in India. He also spearheaded the early Cable Operators Association to lobby for Copyright for the Cable Television networks and succeeded in getting them their respective copyright holdings.

He was a founder director of ETC Networks Ltd. and is a partner in Encore C-Ads, the first organized company which sold advertisement time on Cable Television networks in India.

Mr. Shah is a science graduate from the Mumbai University. He is also an avid cricket lover and has represented both his school and college in this sport.

 

Management Team

Mr. Sisir Pillai has over 22 years of experience in Cable Television, Broadcasting, Marketing and Advertising Sales. He has been associated with the cable television industry from its inception and has worked with most major MSOs and on the broadcasting front has worked in channel distribution and placement with Zee Turner, CNBC TV18, ETC Network and Sahara.

He has been associated with Digicable for close to 5 years now and has played an active role in spearheading & transforming it into one the leading MSOs of the country.

Mr. Pillai is a Pharma graduate from Manipal and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Mumbai University. He also has a keen interest in meditation techniques and has in the past conducted workshops on Stress Management in various forums.

Mr. Amit Upadhyay has over 12 years of work experience in the broadcasting and cable television industry. Prior to his association with Digicable, he has held the position of Director- Distribution & Development for BBC Global Channels within the division's South Asia operations. In this role, he was responsible for the distribution and development of the BBC's three international channel brands. Prior to this he was Territory Manager- Marketing and Distribution for Star India Pvt. Limited, where he helped launch Star Movies and Star World as pay channels in India.

Mr. Upadhyay has completed his B.Sc. with a major in Mathematics and a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Marketing from ICFAI. He is also passionate about music, has a natural flair for writing and is an avid sports fan.
